Payment Procedures

Peters Valley accepts all major credit cards online. We also accept checks via USPS. We only accept cash in person at the main office during regular operating hours.

All workshops must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the workshop, along with studio and materials fees listed for that  workshop, and lodging (if student is staying at Peters Valley during their workshop). Meals may be purchased individually at the dining hall or pre-paid meal plans may be purchased prior to the workshop.

Any returned check will be charged an additional $35 fee

Scholarship students must pay their portion of their workshop, plus studio and materials fees listed for that  workshop, lodging (if student is staying at Peters Valley during their workshop) no later than 30 days prior to the workshop.

A down payment of at least half the workshop cost is necessary to hold a seat in that class, however, the balance (along with any other fees) must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the chosen workshop.

National Park Service Rules and Regulations

Because Peters Valley is within the Delaware National Water Gap Recreation Area, there are certain rules you will need to abide by:

  • There is no smoking allowed in any of the Peters Valley buildings.
  • No alcohol is allowed in any of the studios while students are working.
  • Please be aware and respectful of all wildlife and plants.
         You are not allowed to pick any flowers, leaves, plants, etc. (dead or alive)
  • Speed limits (especially on Thunder Mountain Road) will be enforced.

Studio Information and Safety

Each studio maintains its own specific guidelines in regard to safety and procedures, so be sure to read specific information regarding the studio you will be attending your workshop in. If you have additional questions or special needs, please call the main office at 973-948-5200.

Accessibility and Special Needs
Peters Valley is committed to being accessible to all of our students, however the terrain at the Valley is natural and some of the buildings are only partially accessible. Paths and driveways are not paved. If you need special assistance, please indicate your needs on the application form. At least 2 weeks notice must be given when requesting special assistance so that we have time to respond to your needs.
