Founded in 1970, Peters Valley is located within the scenic, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area  along the Delaware River.  We are in the northwest corner of New  Jersey, where NY, NJ & PA meet.  The campus is a rural setting with a wooded landscape, just 2 hours north  of Philadelphia and only 60 miles northwest of NYC. Public Transportation from NYC is available.

2008 Open House & Bevans Day was Sunday, May 4th

The Event Is FREE & Open To The Public.

We commemorated and remembered the village of Bevans which pre-dated Peters Valley & opened our campus for tours and more! It was definitely fun for the entire family!

"Valley Central" hosted an array of the day's events:

  • Peters Valley held center stage distributing maps, catalogues, information and other literature to this well-attended event.
  • Artisan / Craft Demonstrations were held throughout the afternoon.
  • Food and Live music were avaiable through Bolen & Co. and The Lost Ramblers
  • Children enjoyed the creative process with hands-on art activities
  • Fly Tying Techniques Demonstrations were provided by Fly Tying experts Glenn and Andrea Lynn Van Benschoten, owners of Reel simple Fly Fishing. They are also the authors of "Ten Flies, Simple Ties" (www.reelsimpleflyfishing.com)
  • Craft Exhibitors spread out through "Valley Central" offering a plethora of hand crafted artistry for visitors to purchase.

The Studios were busy with tours and demonstrations all afternoon. People were able to see the studios, ask questions of the Department Heads and sign up for Summer Workshops.

"Greek" hosted local historical memorabilia and historical exhibits were open to the public by Sandyston Township Historical Society, and Walpak Historical Society.

  • Sandyston Township Historical Society honored Peters Valley with the gift of an antique photograph.

The "Delaware River Highlands Seven" Exhibition opened at the Sally D. Francisco Gallery (on the second floor of the store), and guests were able to meet the artists, and the Store was jam packed with visitors all afternoon.
