Annual Open House & Historic Bevans Day Celebration

What to expect:

Enjoy Studio Tours and Fine Craft Demonstrations:
Hop on the bus and spend some time touring the Peters Valley Studios: Blacksmithing, Ceramics, Fiber, Fine Metals, Photography, Special Topics, Weaving and Woodworking. At each studio visitors will be treated to an artist demonstration of that media! In addition, there will be artist demonstrations scattered throughout campus and professional artists selling their wearables, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, and more!

Visit the Peters Valley Store & Exhibition Gallery: Featuring fine craft by over 300 artisans.

Hands-on art activities for kids!
Kids can spend a little time making hand made paper and even try their hands at weaving on a loom.

Exhibition and sale of fine craft by professional artists!
A selection of a dozen artists will have booths set up and be selling their work.There will be artists selling jewelry, handmade sweaters, sculptural ceramics, handmade tiles, olive oils & vinegars, turned wooden bowls and more!

Historic Bevans: The Walpack Historical Society will present a display of memorabilia and images of the hamlet of Bevans and its residents (the town formerly on the grounds where Peters Valley now stands) Learn what some of our buildings were originally used for!

Special Needs: Peters Valley is committed to being accessible to all of our students. However, the terrain at the Valley is natural and some of the historic buildings are only partially accessible. Paths and driveways are not paved. If you need special assistance, please indicate your needs with your workshop application. At least two weeks notice must be given when requesting special assistance so that we have time to accommodate your needs.
