The Peters Valley Annual Fine Craft Fair is a juried event that attracts exhibitors from across the country and attendees from the tri-state area (NY, NJ, PA). The hosting venue is located less than 60 miles outside of New York City, is fully accessible, offers camping with or without hookups and has ample parking with easy load-in/out. Booth spaces are indoor/enclosed spaces with concrete floors. Approximately 150 artists will be accepted into the event as well as a very limited number of Artisanal Food exhibitors. All artwork must be made by the exhibiting artist. The show is promoted through newspapers, magazines, billboards and social media. Promotional postcards, posters and digital ads are available to exhibiting artists.
NEW programs / incentives:
Emerging Artists: The Peters Valley Craft Fair will award a limited number of emerging artist spaces. Each will include a 10’x10’ standard booth space, pipe & drape, electric & insurance fee for a discounted flat rate of $250 (that’s a $405 discount!). Peters Valley considers anyone who has been exhibiting professionally for less than 3 years to be an emerging artist.
Wholesale: Peters Valley is committed to generating artist sales. Any artist who wishes to be specially listed as offering wholesale options to resellers (galleries and stores), will be specially marked as such in the program.
Former Artistic Staff: Peters Valley offers former Peters Valley Artist Fellows and Studio Assistants reduced rates for the first 3 years participating in the Peters Valley Craft Fair. We offer a standard 10’x10’ booth at a reduced rate, we cover your insurance fee and you give a % of your gross profits back to us after the show up to but never to exceed the cost of a full booth fee (You will never pay us more than $455 total - the cost of a standard booth). We offer this as a way for you to use your money to build up your inventory and display in the first few years on the circuit. Year #1: You pay $100 and give 10% back. Year #2: You pay $200 and give 20% back. Year #3: You pay $300 and give 30% back.
Outdoor Booths: For the first time, we will be offering a very limited number of outdoor exhibition spaces.
As a non-profit organization dedicated to artists and artistic practices, our Craft Fair Committee is focused on making this event successful for you, the exhibiting artist as well as for Peters Valley. We strive to improve each year in attracting the right attendees to the show in order to make your participation profitable for you. Our goal is to provide a selling venue that helps you continue your artistic practice while also introducing the public to artists and their processes. The event helps us raise money to continue our mission of enriching lives and fostering creative thinking through fine craft and educate the public about the importance of the arts and artists in hopes that they will become life-long supporters of the arts. We don't succeed unless you succeed and we are working hard to make that happen.
